Health Crisis Among High School Students

In the decade before COVID-19, student mental health sharply declined. Over 40% of high school students felt so sad or hopeless they couldn't engage in regular activities for at least two weeks, indicating possible depression. Even more alarming, the number of youth seriously considering, planning, and attempting suicide significantly increased. This crisis demands urgent action to support our youth.

The mission of the Omillio Sparks Foundation is to empower urban youth to overcome trauma and thrive in challenging environments. We aim to create a safe and caring environment where they can address their behavioral health challenges and forge meaningful connections with compassionate mental health professionals to guide them on their path to healing and growth.
